This accolade marks Guardiola’s fifth Manager of the Season award in seven years, inching him closer to the remarkable record of 13 held by legendary Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

Despite his consistent success at City, including a treble last season, Guardiola’s tenure at the club is approaching its conclusion.

While the 53-year-old has confirmed his commitment to Manchester City for the upcoming season, his long-term future with the club remains uncertain.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Guardiola hinted at the possibility of nearing the end of his time at City.

Guardiola expressed,

“The reality is I am closer to leaving than staying. We have discussed with the club – my inclination is to stay for now. I will be here next season, and we will reassess during the season.

But looking ahead eight or nine years – we will see. I didn’t anticipate staying for eight or nine years. I thought it would be three, four, or five, but not this long. It’s the Premier League, the most challenging league.”

As City celebrates their title triumph, they are set to face Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 25th.
