Pavel Antov was a Russian sausage magnate. According to Russian media reports, he was one of Russia’s largest manufacturers of beef sausages. He started the “Vladimir Standard” meat company.

He was also a politician. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region.

According to the report, he was also the chairman of the Vladimir region’s Legislative Assembly Committee on Agrarian Policy, Nature Management, and Ecology.

According to accounts, Russian sausage tycoon Pavel Antov died after ‘dropping’ from the third-floor window of a hotel in Odisha’s Rayagada, where he was celebrating his 66th birthday.

His death has aroused questions as the congressman had opposed Russia’s war with Ukraine but afterward dubbed his social media post an ‘unfortunate misunderstanding’.

His death comes after his companion and co-traveller Vladimir Bidenov was discovered dead at the same hotel on December 22, according to PTI.

The authorities are investigating the situation from several perspectives. Rashmi Ranjan Pradhan, IIC of Rayagada town police station, informed Indian Express that Antov may have died “accidentally” after falling from the rooftop, or he could have committed “suicide” after Bidenov’s death.
