Paul Le Mat rose to fame with his unforgettable portrayal of John Milner in the iconic 1973 film “American Graffiti” and its sequel “More American Graffiti.”

It was this role that earned him the prestigious Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actor, setting the stage for an illustrious career.

Following his breakout role in “American Graffiti,” Le Mat’s talent shone brighter as he secured the lead role in “Aloha, Bobby and Rose” in 1975.

His journey continued to flourish as he collaborated with renowned director Jonathan Demme in films like “Handle with Care” (1977) and “Melvin and Howard” (1980), showcasing his ability to breathe life and authenticity into his characters.

In 1984, Le Mat delivered yet another stellar performance in the TV film “The Burning Bed,” earning him a second Golden Globe Award.

His career spans a diverse range, from the cult classic “Puppet Master” to various television films and series like “On Wings of Eagles,” “Lonesome Dove: The Series,” and “Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years.”
