He is the third husband of Emmylou Harris and they were married between 1985 and 1993.

Paul’s niche was contemporary country music and he ended up composing songs for The Judds, Marty Stuart, Tanya Tucker, Sweethearts of the Rodeo, Patty Loveless, Juice Newton, The Everly Brothers, as well as Carla Olson & John York.

Who Is Emmylou Harris?

Emmylou Harris is a songwriter and musician who has dozens of albums and singles over in her name.

Harris was born on April 2, 1947, in Alabama, United States, and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1992.

She has been a bandleader, a song interpreter, a back up vocalist, and has collaborated with various artistes such as Rodney Crowell, Buddy Miller, Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Alison Krauss, Lee Ann Womack, Martina McBride, Vince Gill and Sheryl Crow.

Harris is the brain behind the sond “In Rodanthe” in the 2008 film Nights in Rodanthe.

In the same year, she released her solo album, All I Intended To Be and achieved critical acclaim.

She has a huge portfolio of musical works and a few of them include “Gone, Long Gone”, “Blackhawk” and “Boulder to Birmingham”.

Harris has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and is a holder of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

So far, she has won 48 Grammy Awards nominations, out of which she won 14.
