Paul Heckingbottom, a prominent figure in English football, is not just as a skilled player but also as a distinguished coach.

In his playing days, Heckingbottom showcased his defensive prowess on the fields of various English clubs.

Upon retiring from the pitch, Heckingbottom seamlessly transitioned into coaching.

A defining moment in his coaching career unfolded during a successful stint as caretaker manager for Barnsley, guiding the club to promotion and clinching the coveted EFL Trophy.

However, in February 2018, Heckingbottom ventured to Leeds United, only to face the axe during the 2018 close season after overseeing 16 games. Undaunted, he embraced a fresh challenge in the Scottish Premiership, taking the reins at Hibernian, though this tenure concluded in November 2019.

March 2021 marked Heckingbottom’s return to familiar grounds as he stepped into the role of interim manager at Sheffield United.

After a brief stint with the U23’s, he officially assumed the managerial position on November 25, 2021, inking a four-and-a-half-year deal and succeeding Slaviša Jokanović.
