In a recorded call that was obtained by TMZ, one of the hotel’s proprietors shared that a hypodermic needle was found next to Paul Gray’s bed when he was found dead. Other several pills were also found scattered across the room. However, an autopsy report also disclosed that there was no foul play or trauma involved in his death.

In June 2010, a valid autopsy report revealed that Gray died of an overdose of morphine and fentanyl. Also, he had developed heart disease over the years. There were also traces of the anti-anxiety pill Xanax in his system.

He was kind of the person in the band that really wanted everybody in the band to always get along and just concentrate on the band. He was a really great friend and just a great person. He’s going to be sadly missed, and the world is going to be a different place without him,” Shawn Crahan said.
