The Masters has been canceled due to the withdrawal of one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour. Paul Casey withdrew from the tournament prior to the start of the first round.

“Paul Casey WD from the Masters Tournament prior to the start of the first round due to injury,” the PGA Tour confirmed in a press release.
Casey, 44, is suffering from back pain. Because of this, he recently withdrew from the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

Back in March, when asked about the issue, Casey revealed he was suffering from back spasms.
“The pain I’m feeling is in the lower back, left side, it’s like spasms and I saw Jason in the truck yesterday and he said your glutes are not firing which made me giggle,” Casey said, via Essentially Sports.
