Patrick Malahide is a stage and screen actor, writer and producer, best known for his portrayal of Balon Greyjoy in the TV series Game of Thrones.
Born on March 24, 1945, in Reading, Berkshire, England, United Kingdom, Patrick made his television debut in 1976, in the film The Flight of the Heron.

Afterwards, he went on to appear in Sutherland’s Law, The New Avengers, Playhouse, and the popular TV series Minder, where he played Detective Sergeant Albert “Cheerful Charlie” Chisholm.

On television, Patrick appeared in many series including The Pickwick Papers, The Singing Detective, Middlemarch, Comfort and Joy, Mandolin, The World Is Not Enough, A Month in the Country, Minder, and The Inspector Alleyn Mysteries.
Other film credits of his are Brideshead Revisited, The Paradise, Luther, Game of Thrones, Mortal Engines, The Protégé, and Liaison.
