Patricia Ann Brake, 79, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 28. Ingrid Fletcher, the daughter of Norman Stanley Fletcher, was her most recognized role, which she played on the BBC sitcom Porridge. The actress starred in both the BBC drama Casualty and ITV’s Midsomer Murders in 2015.

Patricia has also appeared as a character in the UK soap operas EastEnders and Coronation Street, in addition to her extensive repertoire of West End productions.
Brake’s first performance as an actor was with her company, the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she performed with Judi Dench, Diana Rigg, Ian Richardson, and Ian Holm after graduating from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
