Jack Hayford was an American author, Pentecostal minister, and The King’s University (formerly The King’s College and Seminary) Chancellor Emeritus.

Jack Williams Hayford was born on June 25, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, to Anita Dolores and Jack Hayford who had married two years earlier on September 28, 1932.
Jack Hayford was born with a muscular condition in his neck that improved over time. His father had served in the military as a young man and worked as a switchman for the Southern Pacific Railroad.
Dolores Hayford, Jack Hayford’s mother, was a Bible teacher who spoke at interdenominational women’s classes and Women’s Aglow Fellowship (now Aglow International).
Although Hayford’s parents did not always attend church, he credits them with providing him with a Christian upbringing.

Pastor Jack died in his home in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California, on January 8, 2023. He was 88 years old at the time.
His family said he died peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of the morning, after eating dinner with his wife, Valarie, and speaking to one of his grandchildren the night before.
Jack Hayford was formerly the senior pastor of The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, California, one of the Foursquare denomination’s flagship churches, and the fourth President of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.
