Park Bo-young Parents: Meet Park Wan-soo, Choi Jeong-ok

Park Bo-young is a South Korean actress. She is the daughter of Park Wan-soo and Choi Jeong-ok.

She was born in the North Chungcheong Province town of Jeungpyeong. She is the youngest of three daughters.

Her father was a Special Forces veteran for 34 years. She attended Jeungpyeong Elementary, Jeungpyeong Girls’ Middle School, Daeseong Girls’ Commercial High School, and Dankook University’s Department of Performing Arts, where she majored in Theatre and Film.

Park Bo-young is best known for her main roles in the popular films Scandal Makers (2008), A Werewolf Boy (2012), and On Your Wedding Day (2018), as well as the television series Oh My Ghost (2015), Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017), Abyss (2019), and Doom at Your Service (2021).

Park Bo-young has participated in several charitable causes such as ChildFund Korea—Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation’s “Love, One More” campaign in 2014 and the Sandol Green Umbrella Handwriting initiative in 2017.

She also sponsored two children through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation beginning in 2013. In February 2020, she donated 50 million won to help the fight against COVID-19 during the mass outbreak.
