The initiative, a pioneering effort in Ghana, seeks to equip young people in the region with entrepreneurial, life, and ICT skills, thereby priming them for the job market.

With the rollout of the Life Skills, ICT, Financial Readiness, and Entrepreneurship (LIFE) Legacy program by the pan-African non-governmental organization, Paradigm Initiative (PIN), in partnership with the Internet Society (ISOC) Ghana chapter, a notable milestone has been reached with the launch of LIFE Legacy in Ghana. This signifies the commencement of a transformative path for the youth, offering them the chance to embrace the digital age and unleash their potential.

The program, currently active in Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and Zimbabwe, has had a positive effect on the lives of over 150,000 young Africans. Paradigm Initiative has made a substantial impact and continues to positively shape the lives of young individuals aged between 14 and 24 years.

During the launch event, Ihueze Nwobilor, Senior Programmes Officer at PIN, underscored that the training will provide young people in the Manhean community with skills to capitalize on opportunities both locally and beyond their immediate environment.

Targeting digitally underserved youth with limited access to skills and opportunities, the 10-week program prioritizes youth with minimal or no access to computers and internet connectivity.

Mr. Francis Acquah, President of the Internet Society (ISOC) – Ghana Chapter, asserts that after these ten weeks of training, participants should be sufficiently prepared and equipped for the job market.

“After these ten weeks anyone who partakes in the course should be well equipped and ready for the market,” Mr Acquah said.
