The alleged suicide of Bengali actress, Pallavi Dey, might be as a result of depression.

Her live-in partner, Sagnik Chakraborty, claimed she was not getting great acting offers lately, and that had plunged the actress into depression.
However, Dey’s family have refused to accept that their daughter committed suicide but rather that controversial relationship between her and her live-in partner is the cause of her demise.

Pallavi hails from Bengal’s Howrah. She recently moved in with her boyfriend, Sagnik, in south Kolkata’s Garfa.

She was found hanging on a ceiling fan at her Kolkata home in West Bengal on Sunday.
Sagnik was the first to see her dead body hanging from the ceiling with practically no suicide note found. Albeit, a post-mortem conducted confirmed her cause of death as suicide, no external injury was found.
Late Pallavi was known for playing the lead roles in Bengali teleseral Gauri in ‘Mon Mane Na’. She likewise appeared in various shows, like ‘Resham Japi’, ‘Saraswati Prem’ and ‘Ami Sirajer Begum’.
