After an illustrious 11-season career in the NBA, Otto Porter Jr. has announced his retirement from professional basketball.

The former No. 3 pick in the 2013 Draft and a key member of Golden State’s championship team in 2021-22, Porter leaves behind a legacy that spans across multiple teams and cities.
Throughout his career, Porter showcased his versatility on the court, averaging 10.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 527 games. His sharpshooting prowess, highlighted by a career 39.7% 3-point percentage, ranks him 61st in NBA history.
Porter’s journey began after being drafted out of Georgetown in 2013, where he quickly made an impact despite a modest start. Over time, he honed his skills and became a reliable scorer, averaging 14.7 points per game by his fifth season.

However, injuries plagued Porter during his tenure with the Bulls and the Magic, hindering his ability to consistently perform at his peak. Nevertheless, he found redemption with the Golden State Warriors, contributing significantly to their championship triumph in the 2021-22 season.
After brief stints with the Toronto Raptors and a trade to the Utah Jazz in February 2024, Porter’s career came to a close. Despite not making an appearance for the Jazz, his impact on the league will be remembered.
