Australian motorsports racing driver, Oscar Piastri, was born on April 6, 2001, in Melbourne, Australia, to Chris Piastri and Nicole Piastri.

His parents are of Italian-Australian descent. Not much information is available about them.
However, Piastri’s father, Chris Piastri, used to kart with him from a tender age and was present in all of his competitions in Australia.
Piastri regards his father as his primary and major influence so far in his career.

Oscar Piastri Career
Piastri launched his karting career in 2011 and turned pro in 2014.

He took part in several Australian races and championships and even went ahead to compete in European and other CIK-FIA sanctioned karting championships.
Piastri drives as the reserve driver for Alpine F1 Team, where he had initially trained.
In 2016, he finished sixth place at the World Championship in Bahrain.
In 2019, he won the Formula Renault Eurocup. In 2020, he won the FIA Formula 3 Championship and in 2021, won the Formula 2 Championship with Prema Racing.
