Olly Murs is a British singer, songwriter, television presenter, and actor. He is the son of Vicky-Lynn Pollard and Peter Murs.

He has a twin brother, Ben, and a sister, Fay. He lived with his twin brother Ben and parents Vicky and Pete Murs until 2012, when he moved into a five-bedroom house of his own in Toot Hill, Essex.

Olly Murs gained prominence as a contestant on the sixth season of the reality TV show “The X Factor” in 2009. Following the show, Murs was signed to RCA Records and Sony Music in the United Kingdom, and Columbia Records in the United States.

His debut single, “Please Don’t Let Me Go,” reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 2010. Murs has since released several hit singles, including “Heart Skips a Beat,” “Troublemaker,” “Dear Darlin’,” and “Wrapped Up.”

In addition to his music career, Murs has appeared as a television presenter on shows like “The X Factor” and “The Voice UK.”  He has also ventured into acting, with roles in television shows such as “Hollyoaks” and “I Dream.”
