Olivia Mehaffey Parents: Meet Evelyn and Philip Mehaffey

Olivia Mehaffey is a professional golfer from Northern Ireland who plays on the Ladies European Tour.

She is the daughter of Evelyn and Philip Mehaffey. Mehaffey and her parents  have a very close relationship.

Olivia began playing golf after joining her father and brother at Tandragee Golf Club. Her father  supported and motivated her to perform well and achieve a top-20 finish.

Her father passed away after a long battle with colon cancer in December 2022. After her father’s passing, Mehaffey experienced a dark period and had a self-diagnosed breakdown. She took time off from the game to reflect and heal

In 2023, she returned and fired an 8-under 64 on the first day of the Amundi German Masters to grab the lead, eventually finishing in a tie for 12th. Two weeks later, she tied for third place with a 9-under 207 in the Ladies Finnish Open, her best professional achievement to date.
