Olivia Hussey First Husband: Who is Dean Paul Martin?

Olivia Hussey is an Argentine-British actress who is best known for her portrayal of Juliet in the 1968 film adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.”

Olivia Hussey’s first husband was Dean Paul Martin, an American pop singer and film and television actor. He was also a member of the California Air National Guard.

Hussey and Martin met while they were both working on the film “Death on the Nile” and they were married in 1971.

They had a son, Alexander Gunther Martin who became an actor, in 1973. Unfortunately, Hussey and Martin’s marriage was short-lived, and they divorced in 1978.

Martin died in 1987 when his F-4 departed March Air Force Base, California, on a routine training mission and crashed in California’s San Bernardino Mountains during a snowstorm, killing him and his weapons systems officer, Captain Ramon Ortiz.

He was 35 years old. His remains were buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery, a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs cemetery in Los Angeles, California.
