In a widely circulated video, Obinim is seen addressing his congregation, emphasizing that any seed or thanksgiving offering presented to God should exceed 20 cedis.
He firmly stated that offerings below this amount would not be accepted.
Speaking passionately to his followers, Obinim expressed his dismay at seeing individuals placing five and ten cedis on the altar.
He urged them to retrieve their money promptly, warning that failing to do so could result in curses.

“All those who come to put money here should come for their money. Anybody who has come to put money here should come for his/her money. No more 10 cedis and five cedis. Why? Don’t you respect God? That means you don’t respect God and myself. Come for your money yourself because if I pick the money, it would become a curse upon you,” he asserted.
Obinim stressed the significance of offering meaningful gratitude to God, emphasizing that offerings should reflect genuine appreciation and respect. He urged his congregation to adhere to the new directive, emphasizing that the lowest acceptable offering for prayers is 20 cedis.
“How can you thank God with 5 cedis? How much do you give to your child? That is why God has left you for many troubles to befall you,” he added.
