During an appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz program on Saturday, April 27, 2024, Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, expressed his opinion that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has become the most appealing political brand in Ghana.

A Plus attributed this shift to what he perceives as the declining attractiveness of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which he claims was once the leading political brand in the country. He suggested that the NPP’s leadership over the past seven years has contributed to this decline.

Addressing NPP members directly, A Plus urged them to voice their criticism of the government’s actions, warning that these actions could harm both the government and the party’s future prospects.

“Your lights are going out, and you are still waiting to break the eight. It is you, the member of the NPP, who should criticize the leadership of the country, saying that what they are doing will destroy the government and the party’s chances in the future,” he said.

“Look at what the NDC did at UPSA and how people received the message. This was what the NPP was known for, but now, a lot of fools have infiltrated the rank and file of the political party, and it is not attractive anymore,” he added.
