There is no evidence that Norm Kent, the gay lawyer and marijuana activist had any kids.

However, Alan Kent, Norm’s brother, also came out as gay, after their father’s demise.
Kent said that decades ago he never cared if people knew his sexual orientation.
After he moved to South Florida, Norm Kent briefly wrote a column for Playbill magazine and taught sociology at Florida Atlantic University.
Soon he became known locally as an advocate for runaway gay youths who hung out at Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Norm Kent and John Fugate were romantic partners.
Unfortunately, they called it quits on their romance seven years later. But they stayed close friends and intermittently collaborated.
In March 2023, Kent accepted hospice care at his longtime residence in Fort Lauderdale’s Victoria Park after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Norm Kent died on April 13, at the age of 73.
