Former lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Slade, one of the most popular British bands of the 1970s, Noddy Holder is a legendary rock singer, songwriter, and actor. Holder, who was well-known for his distinctive voice, colorful stage attire, and catchy anthems, co-wrote several of Slade’s hits, including the timeless holiday tune “Merry Xmas Everybody.”

After leaving Slade in 1992, Noddy followed a career in media and entertainment, including appearances in advertisements, radio broadcasts, and TV shows. In 2000, he was also awarded an MBE for his contributions to music.
He made a brief appearance in Coronation Street in 2000, and he subsequently as Mick Bustin, a mechanic, in Peter Kay’s Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere.
