Born January 6, 1996, in Flanders, Mount Olive, New Jersey, United States, Brown attended Pope John XXIII Regional High School in Sparta.

After high school, he went to Ohio State University where he played two seasons for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Following his sophomore year, Brown forgo his remaining two years of eligibility and enter the 2017 NFL Draft where he selected the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round with 239th overall pick.

Brown then signed his first professional contract with the Cowboys on a four-year, $2.47 million deal, including a signing bonus of $71,938 on May 11, 2017.

On March 8, 2022, Brown re-signed with the Cowboys and stayed there till the end of the season before joining the Houston Texans on March 17, 2023.
