Nigerian filmmaker Cheta Chukwu has been chosen for the 2024 Torino Film Lab’s (TFL) Extended Writer-Director Program in the Netherlands for his latest project, “Love is a Deeper Shade of Red,” solidifying his position in the international film scene.

The TFL, headquartered in Turin, primarily aids individuals working on their initial and sophomore fiction feature films. Its key areas of focus encompass training, development, funding, and distribution. Additionally, it provides networking avenues through the co-production market, the TFL Meeting Event, and numerous other occasions.

The residential workshop is scheduled to take place from June 20, 2024, to June 25, 2024, in Amsterdam, followed by online sessions spread over the subsequent two months.
The TFL Extended writer-director lab presents a notable opportunity for Chukwu to hone his craft alongside other skilled filmmakers from various corners of the globe. These include Anne Feinsilber (Script Tutor – France), Ayman El Amir (Script Tutor – Egypt), Chiara Laudani (Script Tutor – Italy), Marietta Von Hausswolff Von Baumgarten (Script Tutor – Sweden), and Isabella Weber (Script Tutor – Italy).
