Nick Kamen, who appeared in Levi 501’s advert, died on May 5, 2021, at the age of 59.

Kamen was widely described as a kind hearted person.
Kamen had suffered bone marrow cancer while he was alive and had undergone series of chemotherapy and stem cell treatment for years before his demise.
He was laid to rest in England.

Nick Kamen was a British musician and model known for his 1989 hit single Turn It Up and for appearing in Levi’s 501 advert.

Born on April 15 1962, Kamen released several songs beginning from the 80s, including “Each Time You Break My Heart”, and “I Promised Myself”.
Kamen also featured in the video of the British band Visage titled “The Damned Don’t Cry”.
In 1984, Kamen graced the cover of the then famous magazine The Face.
The contract opened up more opportunities for him in subsequent years and he went ahead to appear in Levi 501’s “Launderette” commercial.
The advert had greatly boosted sales of the Levi brand and eventually ranked number 6 on the list of 100 Greatest TV Ads in 2000.
