Latifi began his karting career at age 13. In 2010, he finished as the runner-up in the Rotax Junior class of the Canadian National Karting Championship. Latifi joined Williams as a race driver for the 2020 season, replacing Robert Kubica and partnering with Formula 2 competitor, George Russell.
