Ngannou speaks out after loss to Anthony Joshua

Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou humbly apologizes to his fans in the wake of his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua on Friday night (March 8, 2024).

Joshua’s powerful right hand in the opening round and a subsequent combination of hooks in the second round led to Ngannou being knocked down multiple times, ultimately prompting the referee to stop the fight.

Joshua presented Ngannou with hard opponent despite his numerous attempts or efforts to rise. Taking to Twitter, now reformed as X, Ngannou expressed genuine remorse for his fans, who might be deeply disappointed in him. He reassured his fans, however, of his determination to bounce back from what he described as “a bad day at the office.”

“Sorry guys I let you all down. Today was a bad day in the office but tomorrow will be another day. Thank you all for the love.”
