The incident occured around 5:30 p.m. on February 9, 2023, in the busiest part of the location – just a throw stone from “Broadway theaters, hotels, the sprawling Times Square subway station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal.”
Reports state that there had been a disagreement between the victim and two other men, before he was shot in the chest.

The victim had tried to run but could only make it to one block before he collapsed near Chick-fil-A, and “begged a worker to call 911.”
Emergency Services had tried to revive him at the scene with CPR, before he was rushed to Mount Sinai West, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The police is still on the look out for the perpetrators.
Shootings in the area had reportedly dropped in 2022, but major crimes are still on the rise.
