The 2021 edition of the New York City Marathon is on course and it is the 50th annual marathon held in the city of New York.

Due to the effects of the COVID-19, the number of participants has been reduced. According to the event organizers, 33,000 competitors are participating in this year’s marathon.
The New York City Marathon was supposed to mark a great 50-year celebration in 2020, but due to COVID-19, it was canceled.

A number of streets in New York City have been closed to pave way for the 2021 New York Marathon.

The New York City Marathon starts at Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island and ends at Central Park. Competitors will run a 26.2-mile marathon through New York City’s five boroughs through Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Five Avenue, and then to Central Park.
