The 20th season of American Idol ended on May 22, and the contestants gave it their all in the final presentation to become the next Idol.

The Boss Springsteen was the topic of the final show, and Kentucky construction worker Noah Thompson won the competition. He ended the show with a performance of his song “One Day Tonight,” as his loved ones rushed the stage to join him in celebrating the accomplishment.

HunterGirl and Leah Marlene came in second and third, respectively. The finale lasted three hours, and the three of them sang songs by Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen, the ultimate all-American rock ‘n’ roll icon, whereas Leah sang “Cover me.”

When Noah performed his favourite song  Rhianna’s “Stay,” he gave HunterGirl a run for her money, and the moment he realised it was when judge Katy Perry said, “That was one of my favourite songs you sang all season.
