As a result, the politician has announced intentions to file petitions with both the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education on Monday, June 17th.
Their goal is to initiate a comprehensive investigation into the issue and ensure that all teachers responsible for organizing students for political rallies are held accountable.
“On Monday we are petitioning GES and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education to question all teachers who gathered the students for the rallies,” Akyemfuor said.

He has accused the NPP’s Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, of being involved in this contentious issue.
The politician underscored the seriousness of the situation, stressing the need for immediate action to prevent it from happening again.
“Dr Bawumia has done an unlawful thing, we all need to look into this and address it to avoid recurrence,” he said on Onua FM’s morning show, Yen Nsempa.
“We call upon parents, parent associations, Chiefs, traditional leaders, and opinion leaders to join hands in addressing this issue,” he added.
