The EC recently corrected errors in its daily voter registration figures during the ongoing limited voter registration exercise. Initially, the EC reported 143,014 eligible voters registered by the end of day four.

However, within 24 hours, the EC issued a statement acknowledging an error in day three data for the Upper East region, leading to inaccuracies in the overall registration statistics.

The EC’s swift correction demonstrates its commitment to transparency and accuracy in the voter registration process, ensuring the public receives reliable information.

Despite technical challenges in the initial days, the Commission stated that the registration process has been smooth nationwide.

The EC has clarified that extending the deadline for the limited voters’ registration exercise is not feasible, affirming that the allocated 21-day period is adequate.
