Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse is a Native American actor. Chasing Horse was born on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, which is home to the Sicangu Sioux, one of the seven Lakota tribes.

The names of his parents are not public knowledge. He is best known for his role in Kevin Costner’s Oscar-winning film Smiles a Lot.
Chasing Horse made a name for himself among tribes in the United States and Canada after starring in the 1990 film as a self-proclaimed medicine man who could communicate with higher beings.
Starting in the early 2000s, police and prosecutors in Las Vegas accused him of using his position to lead a cult, gain access to vulnerable Indigenous women and girls, and take underage wives.

Nathan Chasing Horse was arrested in January 2023 on charges of multiple sex crimes against Indigenous girls. His arrest was the culmination of a months-long investigation that began in October 2022 after police received a tip.
Chasing Horse is believed to be the leader of a cult known as The Circle, according to a 50-page search warrant obtained by AP. The allegations against Chasing Horse spans multiple states, including Montana, South Dakota, and Nevada, where he has lived for the past ten years.
