Nate Thompson is an American former ice hockey center. He is the son of Robert and Cathy Thompson. However, there is not much information about his parents.

Thompson began his major junior ice hockey career with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2001-02.
Thompson’s journey to becoming a professional hockey player began when he was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, marking the start of his NHL dream.
After a few seasons in the minor leagues and brief stints with the Bruins, Thompson’s true potential began to shine when he found a more prominent role with other NHL teams.

Throughout his career, Thompson has displayed a tenacious and hardworking playing style, making him a valuable asset to his teams. He played for the Boston Bruins, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, Anaheim Ducks, Ottawa Senators, Los Angeles Kings, Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers and Winnipeg Jets.
Thompson has also represented the United States at the Ice Hockey World Championships in addition to his NHL career. He initially played for Team USA in 2012, as an alternative captain alongside Jets skater Jim Slater and under Columbus Blue Jackets captain Jack Johnson.
