The funeral arrangement banner for the late veteran actor John Ikechukwu Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has been released online.

Mr. Ibu passed away on March 2, 2024, after a prolonged battle with illness, culminating in the amputation of his leg. He was 63 years old.
According to reports, Mr. Ibu will be laid to rest in his hometown of Amuri, located in the Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State. His family announced the details of his burial arrangements on April 13.

The funeral proceedings will commence on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, with a unique procession involving members of Nollywood and Rangers International. The following day, June 26, a Candlelight Procession in honor of Mr. Ibu will be held.
On June 27, a Christian wake service will be conducted at Eziokwe Amuri, Enugu State, followed by the transportation of Mr. Ibu’s body from the Eastern Nigerian Medical Center to his birthplace for burial on June 28.
