“Most People Think I’m Incapable Of Anger” – Mayorkun Shares

Nigerian Singer, Mayorkun, also known as ‘The Mayor of Lagos,’ has shared that, most people often think he can’t get angry, sad, or exhibit other negative emotions but that’s not what it is. He explained that he is equally human which makes him vulnerable and leads him to display some human traits.

He added that all these emotions help him to make music. According to him, the past nine (9) months have been a roller coaster of different emotions – love, envy, betrayal, loneliness – most of which he made music about. And that enough serves as a reminder for him to know who he really is.

Mayorkun is by far one of the best Afrobeats hitmakers. He has produced hit songs like Betty Butter, of Lagos, Up To Something, and more. He has won nine (9) awards out of ten (10) nominations. Some of the awards include; The Headies Awards, City People Entertainment Awards, Nigerian Entertainment Awards, and more.
