Josuha Guilavogui is the elder brother of Morgan Guilavogui.

Josuha is also a professional footballer who plays for Bundesliga club Mainz 05 as a defensive midfielder.
He began his football career with the youth systems of La Marine Toulon (1997–2000), Toulon (2000–2005), and Saint-Étienne (2005–2009).
Josuha made his professional debut with Saint-Étienne on January 3, 2009, in a 1–0 victory over Bordeaux in the Coupe de France.
After four seasons with Saint-Étienne, Josuha signed a 5-year €10 million contract with Atlético Madrid on September 2, 2013.

While with Atlético, Josuha was loaned to Saint-Étienne (2014), and VfL Wolfsburg (2014–2016).
Following his loan spell with VfL Wolfsburg, he was signed by the club from 2016 to 2023.
On 30 January 2022, Josuha signed for Ligue 1 club Bordeaux on loan until the end of the season.
Josuha joined German side 1. Fußball- und Sport-Verein Mainz 05 e. V., usually shortened to 1. FSV Mainz 05, Mainz 05, or simply Mainz in 2023.
Both Josuha Guilavogui and Morgan Guilavogui were born to Guinean parents whose names have not been documented.
