Mon Legaspi Obituary

Wolfgang bassist Mon Legaspi died on October 3, 2022, at age 54.

Legaspi was survived by his family and friends.

“It is with deep, deep sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our brother Mon Legaspi. He joined our Creator earlier tonight due to cardiac arrest,” the band’s statement read. “Mon fought hard in the ICU and we are utterly heartbroken at the loss of a supremely professional musician, and a dear friend”, The Dawn music band wrote.

Legaspi’s fans and even his ex wife, radio presenter Thelma Bowlen, expressed their condition to the Legaspi family.

Funeral arrangements for the late musician will be communicated to the public in due time.

Who Was Mon Legaspi?

Mon Legaspi is an internationally recognised bassist who played for the Filipino rock bands The Dawn and Wolfgang.

He is known for the songs Salamat (2000), Halik Ni Hudas (2000), Mata Ng Diyos (1996),  isang Bangka The Story of The Dawn: The Ultimate OP, and many more.

Mon Legaspi, had suffered from a cardiac arrest which led to his death.

Legaspi has been in the Wolfgang rock band since 1992, and The Dawn, between 2002 and 2005.
