Moeen Munir Ali, who was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE), was born on June 18, 1987, and is an English professional cricketer. He is currently the England national team’s vice-captain in limited-overs cricket and is known for his ability to play all formats of the game.

He currently plays for Warwickshire and has previously represented Worcestershire in domestic cricket. He has also played in other Twenty20 leagues, including the Indian Premier League, for clubs such as the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.
Ali made his international debut in 2014, appearing in matches across all three forms. He was a member of the England team that won the 2019 Cricket World Cup and the T20 World Cup in 2022.
On June 7, 2023, Ali announced that he was ending his retirement from the England Test team. An injury to the team’s first-choice spinner, Jack Leach, soon before the start of the 2023 Ashes Series, forced this decision.
