Dmitri “Misha” Collins is an American actor, author, producer and director best known for his role as the angel Castiel on the CW television series Supernatural.

Before acting, Misha Collins interned for four months at the White House during the Clinton Administration in the Office of Presidential Personnel.
Misha Collins’ film work includes an uncredited appearance in the 1999 movie Liberty Heights, as well as roles in Girl, Interrupted, Finding Home, Karla and Loot (on which he also served as Associate Producer).
Misha Collins has also starred as the angel Castiel on the CW television series Supernatural from 2008-2020.
As well as his work on Supernatural, other television shows includes Legacy, Charmed, NYPD Blue, 24, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ER, Monk, and Timeless.
Misha Collins is also a published poet and his poems, including “Baby Pants” and “Old Bones”, can be found in the 2008 edition of Columbia Poetry Review #21.

For his personal life, Misha Collins was married to Victoria Vantoch, a historian and journalist whose work has appeared in The Washington Post, U.S. News & World Report, and The Los Angeles Times.
Misha Collins and Victoria Vantoch got married on October 6, 2001 in Maine and have two children; West Anaximander Collins and Maison Marie Collins.
West Anaximander Collins was born on September 23, 2010 and Maison Marie Collins was born two years later, in September 2012.
It is believed that Misha Collins and his wife Victoria Vantoch are separated “behind closed doors” and are actually considering a divorce.
