Mira Sorvino Husband: Who Is Christopher Backus?

Christopher Backus is an American actor, director and screenwriter who is married to actress Mira Sorvino.

Backus met Mira Sorvino in August 2003 at a friend’s charades party. On June 11, 2004, they married in a private civil ceremony at the Santa Barbara, California, courthouse, followed by a hilltop ceremony in Capri, Italy.

The couple has four children. Daughters Mattea Angel Backus who was born in 2004 and Lucia Backus in 2012 and sons Johnny Christopher King Backus born in 2006 and Johnny Christopher King Backus in 2009.

Backus was born in Mission Viejo, California, but grew up in Kansas City. His mother, Teryl Backus, is a retired Marine Corps colonel, and his father, Terry Backus, was a lawyer who died when Christopher was a child.

Backus made his television debut on NBC’s Will & Grace, and since then has appeared in The O.C., Life on Mars, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Sons of Anarchy, The Mentalist, Perception, and The Last Templar.

He also appeared in films such as Redline, directed by Scott McCullough, and 3 Days Gone, starring Eddie Griffin.
