Miles was born on March 21, 1998, in Flint, Michigan to Raymond Bridges and Cynthia Bridges.

Bridges played high school basketball for Flint Southwestern Academy in Flint, Michigan during his freshman year before transferring to Huntington Prep School for his sophomore, junior, and senior years.
Bridges was a five-star recruit and was ranked as the 10th-best player of his class by Rivals.com, while ESPN ranked him as the No.8 overall recruit in the 2016 high school class.

Following Michigan State’s loss in the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, Bridges announced his intention to forgo his final two seasons of collegiate eligibility and declare for the 2018 NBA draft.
Bridges was chosen by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 12th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, however on draft night, he was traded to the Charlotte Hornets.
He averaged 20.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, all of which are career highs.
Miles Bridges turned down the Hornets’ contract extension offer last offseason, which was reportedly worth $60 million over four years.
On June 29, 2022, Bridges was arrested in Los Angeles for felony domestic violence and was released on a $130,000 bond.
