Milan Lucic is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays in the NHL for the Calgary Flames. He is the son of Dobrivoje Lučić and Snežana Kesa

Dobro, his father, was a docker in Vancouver who immigrated to North America from Serbia when he was 27. Snezana, his mother, moved to Vancouver from Serbia when he was two years old.
He has an older brother named Jovan and a younger brother named Nikola. Dan Kesa, his maternal uncle, is a retired NHL right winger who spent time with the Vancouver Canucks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Dallas Stars.

Milan Lucic spent three seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Vancouver Giants, winning the Memorial Cup and being named tournament MVP in 2007. He was chosen 50th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and made the Boston Bruins’ roster in 2007-08.
He won a Stanley Cup with the Bruins three years later. He played his first eight seasons in the NHL with Boston before being traded to the Los Angeles Kings in June 2015. After one season in Los Angeles, Lucic signed as a free agent with the Edmonton Oilers in July 2016, where he spent three seasons before being traded to Calgary in July 2019.
