Nigerian football legend John Mikel Obi has denied reports that he said Cristiano Ronaldo is not among the 10 greatest Premier League players. The reports, which were attributed to Mikel, claimed that he stated Ronaldo “is not even the top 10 greatest in the Premier League” during his time at Manchester United.

However, Mikel has now refuted these reports in a statement released on his Instagram account. He apologized for any confusion caused and clarified that the statement was completely false and should be regarded as “fake news.”
Mikel went on to acknowledge Ronaldo’s status as an all-time great in football, recognizing his achievements during his time at Manchester United and his current club Al-Nassr.
In his statement, Mikel expressed utmost respect for Ronaldo, describing him as a “true icon in the world of football.”
