Michael Yarwood was an English impressionist, comedian, and actor who lived from 14 June 1941 until 8 September 2023. From the 1960s until the 1980s, he frequently appeared on television and was one of Britain’s most popular entertainers.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Yarwood made appearances on British television programs. He worked for ATV, the ITV franchise owner, before his several eponymous BBC television programs, then for Thames Television after leaving the BBC.

Yarwood made his debut in the 1964 edition of the Sunday Night at the London Palladium variety show, which is where he initially found success. Yarwood, who played Harold Wilson, the leader of the Labour Party and Prime Minister at the time, made an appearance during that time.
