Who Is Mike Sullivan?
Mike Sullivan is a seasoned football coach who currently holds the position of quarterbacks coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL).
A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, NY, Sullivan’s passion for the sport flourished during his time as a two-year letterman in football, excelling as a defensive back before graduating in 1989.

Sullivan’s coaching journey includes stints with notable teams such as Humboldt State, Army, Youngstown State, Ohio, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Denver Broncos.

His diverse coaching experience across college and professional football has shaped him into a respected figure in the coaching space.
From 2004 to 2009, Sullivan served as the wide receivers coach for the New York Giants.
Following this, he transitioned to the role of quarterbacks coach for the Giants from 2010 to 2011.
The pinnacle of Sullivan’s coaching career came during his tenure as the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012 to 2013.
In 2021, the Pittsburgh Steelers recognized Sullivan’s wealth of experience and brought him on board as the quarterbacks coach.
Following the firing of offensive coordinator Matt Canada on November 21, 2023, Sullivan stepped into the spotlight as the primary play-caller for the remainder of the season.
