Mike Batayeh died in his sleep after suffering a heart attack at age 52. His death reportedly occurred on June 1, 2023. According to his family, he did not have any history of heart conditions or anything related to heart problems.

“He will greatly be missed by those who loved him, and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many,” an official statement by the family read.

He was an American actor and comedian who was best known for his role as Dennis Markowski in Breaking Bad. As a comedian, he performed in several places including Dubai, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and more, and was invited twice by the royal family for Amman International Comedy Festival and Nazareth.
Bataya was part of the first wave of Western comics to perform for local audiences, in the middle east. He also performed at several American comedy clubs like Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, Improv, Icehouse, and more.
His film credits also include Don’t Mess With The Zohan, American East, Sleeper Cell, Touch, Everybody Loves Raymond, American Dreams, Gas, and more.
