Michelle McNamara grew up as the last born amidst her five other siblings, Margo Chadwick, Maureen Stratton, Kathleen Conroy, Robert Rigney McNamara, and Mary Rita Skrine.

Her siblings are all married with children.
Not much information is available about them aside from Robert McNamara, who works in the Ministry of Justice.

Who Was Michelle McNamara?
Michelle McNamara was an American true crime author, who wrote the best-selling book I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer.

She had helped in the unveiling of the serial killer identified as as Joseph James DeAngelo, who was nabbed after her death.
Her book later became an HBO adaptation for the documentary series I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, in 2020.
Although, with the help of her husband, Patton Oswalt, the book was completed posthumously, following her death in 2016.
Michelle had died in her sleep, while at home. Her cause of death was ruled as accidental drug overdose.
She is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
