Michelle Carter: Where Is She Now?

Carter has kept a low profile and avoided the public eye since being released from prison early due to good behaviour. Because of the terms of her release, she is on probation until 2022 and is therefore unlikely to have left the United States.

A search for Michelle Carter on Instagram yields no results, as there is no obvious account associated with the now 24-year-old.

Given the high profile nature of the case, which attracted worldwide media attention, Carter may have changed her name and appearance.

Seven months after Roy’s suicide, in February 2015, Carter was indicted for involuntary manslaughter.

Carter was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter at her trial and sentenced to two and a half years in prison, which was later reduced to 15 months. Carter was released early in January 2020 after serving only 11 months of her sentence.
