Michael Lamont Death: How did Michael Lamont die?

Michael Lamont died after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He died on May 21, 2023, at age 76. He was a Broadway actor turned photographer who eventually became one of the most sought-after photographers in the industry during his peak.

“Every shoot is like an improv; it has its own life. In the end, it is always about the specific emotional life, natural behavior, working moment to moment and being well lit, combining these elements with the artistry and experience of the photographer to create and capture the moment,” he once shared.

Lamont started as a Broadway actor when he was just 13 and went on to train as an actor throughout his teenage. However, his love for photography started after a friend asked him to photograph his headshots. After a few works, he got recommendations and gigs from agents and casting directors.

Some of his Broadway performances include Bye Bye Birdie (1960), Oliver! Do I Hear a Waltz?, and The Royal Hunt of the Sun, and more.
